9/7/2019 5e Cleric Vs Fruid
Hello fellow Nerdarchests, Art here. I'm back with the third installment of my series Multi-Class Character Builds in Dungeons & Dragons 5e. If you missed my previous article on the Cleric just click HERE. Today we are going to be covering the wonderful menagerie of. The Druid As always I'd like to take a few. Built on 5e, Stargate is coming to tabletop. Cleric vs Druid vs Wizard (self.dndnext). A cleric is somewhat close to the druid (especially the land druid) in that is hard for them to be useless, and depending upon the archetype they have access to some nice abilities. I haven't played one yet so I can't comment more.

I want her to either be a cleric or druid - I like to play the support/healer role, but I also like animal and environmental aspects of a druid. Here's the overview of my character, briefly:NameZinnia 'Mama Fern' FernglennRace Halfling, StoutAlignment LGShe is a motherly type (hence the nickname Mama Fern). She is sort of like your eccentric aunt: loves to laugh loudly, be blunt, and does not take crap from anyone. She dislikes the bureaucracy of large religious institutions (this plays well to the cleric side, but she is sort of a rebel and cuts away from devotion to a deity for the sake of appearances). I want to pick my class before I decide the rest of her aspects.I am pretty flexible to any suggestions and I'm curious what your opinions are on the druid vs. I suppose this would benefit from knowing which edition you plan on playing.Depending upon options, you could have her be a cleric of a nature domain? There is specifically one for 5th edition, and some older editions have their own versions of this too.
Either have a god of nature worshiped (if applicable) or rather the notion/domain of nature. Such a priesthood could be pretty rough around the edges and be well-suited to both clerical priests and druids, and thus they have some philosophical cross-over. Thanks for the clarification.Worship of a specific god can involve more specific tenets, and particular forms of worship; rituals (non-mechanical of course) and habits and dress and the like.Worshiping the nature domain, for example, is looking at it as more of an overall entity or ideal. It's an expansive concept and many people can interpret worship their own ways. It can lend itself to a lot of differing philosophies. It has a different feel from devoting oneself to one personified being. You could multiclass between them also.
Both classes benefit from Wis. You could take a couple levels of Life Cleric for their healing benefits (which start early) & core healing spells from the Domain (always prepared), and then go the rest into Druid. Life Cleric & Druid work together well, Nature Cleric & Druid feels like it might be overkill, however. If you go mostly Druid, you'll have access to all the lovely nature spells, and the Life Cleric dip gives some excellent benefits to your healing.
Just something to consider:) Could be worked into your story in nifty ways, too. Like a Life Cleric who sought peace in the wilderness, and that sort of thing.
Life & Nature go hand in hand. You also would have access to heavy armor, though I'm uncertain as to whether or not you would actually want to use it if you were going mostly for Druid.
